Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with ALL spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ (Ephesians 1:3). What a great promise we have in this scripture! However beloveth, to access this promise (ALL spiritual blessings), it requires a crucified life.
The blessing is just a provision that requires an access code. Without this access code, it is ineffective in our lives. The access code is the cross - a crucified life. "For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s" (Romans 14:8). Luke 9:23 declares "And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross DAILY, and follow me". The moment you vow to live a crucified life, that's when the blessings will flow without limit. When Abraham died to himself and his will by giving up his son Isaac, the Lord responded in Genesis 22:16 - 18 with an unlimited release of blessing to Abraham. Brethren, we have to die to self DAILY.
Is your flesh crucified? Is your appetite crucified? Is your sexuality crucified? Are your thoughts crucified? Is your emotion crucified? Is your will crucified? The central message of the bible is the cross - a crucified life.
Death is one of the most feared and avoided words today and perhaps throughout humanity; but death (to self) is the only access to life (in Christ). The world says: to live, you need more of the world; but the Word says: to truly live, you need less of the world (carnality) but more of death to self - a crucified life, brokenness.
Abraham asked God for a son, Hannah cried to God for a son, Solomon asked God for wisdom, Elisha asked for double portion of the anointing; I asked God each day for death to the flesh (the old man). Death to the flesh is one of the greatest things that can happen to any man.
