We serve a miracle working GOD!
Frequently Asked Questions
1. How
do I receive a miracle?
By faith (Matthew 21:21, Hebrews 11)! Just as the woman with issue of blood in Luke 8:43-48 touched the border (hem) of his garment by faith and was made whole; even also we ought to touch the hem of his garment with our faith. Just call upon his name by faith, and you will be made whole. No matter the name of the infirmity or disease that may trouble you, there is a greater name - the name of JESUS (Philippians 2:5-11) and as you mention that name by faith, every sickness must bow, every stubborn situation must change, even the dead rise at the mention of his name. Remember, it’s His nature to heal, deliver and set free. Whosoever calleth upon the name of the Lord shall be saved, shall be delivered and shall be healed (Romans 10:13). He healed everyone that came to him for healing in the bible and he has not changed (Hebrews 13:8 and Malachi 3:6).
2. How do I acquire faith?
Faith comes by hearing the word of God (Romans 10:17). The word of God is quick and powerful, and sharper than a two edged sword… (Hebrews 4:12). The more we come in contact with God’s precious word through listening to message tapes, going to a bible believing church, meditating on God’s word (the bible), listening to gospel music and indeed choking ourselves with the things of the Spirit, the more our faith will increase. That’s why Paul says in Romans 12:1 & 2 that we should be transformed by renewing our mind. Joshua 1:8 says we should meditate day and night on God’s word.
3. Who is qualified for a miracle?
Anyone who believes (Mark 9:23 & 24, John 11:40). That’s why Jesus told Jairus in Luke 8:50 “fear not, only believe”. Because Jairus believed, he got his miracle. He could have said it’s too late, she’s already dead and driven Jesus out of his house but he still believed even when all hope was lost (Never give up!). All things are possible with God, so we only just have to believe (Luke 1:37). Only believe and you will get your miracle. It’s that simple. Things may even be getting worse like in the case of Jairus, but saints, never give up. That’s the key to your breakthrough.
4. Can the dead be raised back to life?
Absolutely!
In the bible, we read of Elijah raising the widow of Zarephath’s son (1 Kings 17:17-24); Elisha raising the shunamite woman’s son (2 kings 4:32-37); Elisha’s bones reviving a dead man (2 kings 13:21); the dry bones living (Ezekiel 37:1-14); Jairus’ daughter raised back to life (Luke 8:41-56); Lazarus raised from the dead (John 11:1-45) and so on.
Even today, the dead are still raised back to life because the Lord declares “I am the lord, I change not” (Malachi 3:6). The same God who did it thousands of years ago, is still doing the same today. Hebrews declares “He is the same yesterday, today and forever”. That’s why in December 2001, Daniel Ekechukwu was raised back to life by the power of God in a Reinhard Bohnke crusade in Nigeria, Smith Wigglesworth raised the dead, a dead woman in India was raised back to life a few years ago, and so many others (Give God praise!). Hebrews 11:35 declares “Women received their dead raised to life again”, Hebrews 11:19 says “Accounting also that God was able to raise him even from the dead”.
Finally, our lord Jesus was raised up from the dead by the Spirit of God (Romans 8:11 and Romans 6:4) that’s why we are saved!
5. Is it only Pastors/Evangelists/Prophets that can perform miracles by the Power of God?
No (John 1:12). The power of God is given to every believer in Christ Jesus. (1 Corinthians 12:7). Jesus said greater works than these shall we (believers) do (John 14:12). Just stir up the gift of God in you by knowing God (Daniel 11:32) via His word, and fellowshipping with His Spirit, then, faith is built for exploits.
6. How should we react to a miracle?
We need to give glory to God and not to man (Zechariah 4:6, Romans 9:16, Philippians 2:13). For we are only instruments in His hands. When a musician plays a saxophone well and the audience claps, their clapping is not for the saxophone because it is only a musical instrument, rather, they clap for the musician who actually performed using the instrument. Likewise, we ought to give glory to God for miracles he performs as we are only instruments in his hands.
7. Are all miracles from God?
No, just as the devil tried to camouflage the miracles of God by turning the rods to snake in Exodus 7:1-12, and by using the slave girl to tell people’s future in Acts 16:16-18; he is still trying to camouflage the miracles of God today. 1 John 4:1-4 declares “Believe not every spirit but try them because many false prophets exist…” Matthew 24:11 declares “And many false prophets shall arise and shall deceive many”.
8. How do we differentiate a miracle from God and that from a devil?
By discernment. It takes the Spirit of discernment to differentiate which is which. That was how Paul was able to know that the slave girl‘s “performance” was demonic (Acts 16:16-18). The gift of discernment is a spiritual gift but we all can display it to a certain level if we allow God’s word and His Spirit to indwell us. It is necessary to know that the blessings of God make rich and adds no sorrow (Proverbs 10:22) while whatsoever the devil gives has sorrow attached to it and it will only take time for the sorrow to manifest. Also every good and perfect gift (miracle) comes from God (James 1:16 & 17).
9. Is it possible to lose a miracle after receiving it?
Sadly, yes. If we do not hold on to the miracle, our adversary (the devil) can steal it (1 Peter 5:8). Remember, he came to steal, to kill and to destroy (John 10:10). So many people who have received miracles from the Lord have lost it because they make their heart a fertile ground for fear and doubt after the miracle. We need to stay in the word even after the miracle. That’s why the bible says an unclean spirit returns into a place of habitation if the place is not fortified by God’s word (Matthew 12:43-45). So, we need to keep our miracle by faith. We receive by faith and we keep it by faith.
10. What is the greatest miracle?
The greatest miracle is not physical but spiritual. It is not the healing of the sick, the raising of the dead or rebuking evil spirits. Rather, it is the acknowledging of Jesus Christ as Lord through total repentance from sin. That’s why there is joy in heaven when a sinner repents (Luke 15:7). The greatest miracle is the change of one’s eternal destination from the lake of fire to heaven. Everyone needs to receive the greatest miracle because physical miracles are temporal while salvation is eternal. The healing of cancer is temporal, financial breakthrough is temporal, and even the raising of the dead is temporal but making heaven is eternal (2 Corinthians 4:18).
11. How can we receive the greatest miracle?
To receive the greatest miracle means to be born again. You can be born again by inviting Jesus to your heart right now and confessing Him as your Lord. Truly repent from all evil (sin) - He will forgive you no matter what sins you’ve committed (1 John 1:9) and give you the grace to live above sin (John 1:12). Get yourself a bible, read it everyday so God can speak to you and go to a bible believing church regularly to grow spiritually. Jesus will keep you from the road to hell as you seek him daily. Seek ye the Lord while He may be found, call upon His name while He is near (Isaiah 55:6 & 7).
REMEMBER, one day, you'll give an account of your life to Him and if you reject Him today, you've ignored the salvation of your soul. What shall a man give in exchange for His soul, the bible asks (Mark 8:37). The pleasures of sin only last but for a moment. Be sure to make the right decision today. Make sure to get yourself the right eternal address today (Heaven). Jesus loves you so much that He died for you and He wants you to love Him so much that you would live for Him. (SELAH!)
12. Is receiving a miracle a sign that we will make heaven?
No, it is only those that endure to the end that will be saved (Matthew 24:13). If after a miracle, because of a miracle or even for any reason you forsake God, eternal regrets will accompany your decision to forsake God (Heb 10:38 & 39). We need to hold on to our salvation unto the end (1Timothy 6:12, Hebrews 3:13 & 14). Even the Israelites after crossing the Red Sea and seeing the power of God in Egypt still worshiped a golden image which is unacceptable to God (Hebrews 3:16 - 4:1).
By faith (Matthew 21:21, Hebrews 11)! Just as the woman with issue of blood in Luke 8:43-48 touched the border (hem) of his garment by faith and was made whole; even also we ought to touch the hem of his garment with our faith.
